Benjamin Pierce

Ben Pierce was born in Southeast Missouri and raised on traditional values, honesty and hard work. After graduating high school Pierce served 4 years in the military before attending and graduating from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts. Pierce builds sculptures that represent experiences or feelings he’s had, but that are universally identifiable. Pierce constructs simple geometric forms to capture the viewers’ interest and stir their emotions. Negative space is a large aspect of Pierce's work that helps to create tension to capture and focus on space.
